                        !!!!!Very Important Imformation for you

to read!!!!!

Here is an important letter than I received from a lady in Tampa Florida the other

day that to start with I found very disturbing to hear her story and being that I

am a big believer in attached parenting.  I felt that I had to do something to help her.

Vonnie
Let me remind you of who I am.  My name is Chris Meyers and I live in Tampa Florida.  I meet you
about 2 months ago at Cherie house right after her baby was born,  We spoke about the fact that
I had received a mei tai from a friend as a shower gift and it had caused my son to have not only
a rash on his back which is why I took him to the pediatrian in the first place but I was told that
he was also having problems with his hips.

The Dr asked me alot of questions and when he discovered that I had been carrying my son in a
mei tai he immediately knew what the problem was,  I told him that the mei tai was in my diaper bag
he wanted to see it.  Now to me this was quite surprising since the company that made this carrier
has quite good name on a lot of baby wearing sites online.  I did my best to find out all I could about this manufacturer.  And figured that my son would be safe.

Well the Dr. informed me that the damage to my son's hip was because the carrier contracted
at the bottom so that he could be facing out.  well because of this his legs dangled and pulled on
them causing his joints and hips not to grow right.

I wanted to thank you for your wonderful gift for me and my son.  I was surprised the next
time I went to Cherie's and she handed me a Cuddling Baby Mei Tai.  I told her that I was a little
weary of using another carrier but did as she suggested and I took the carrier to my Pediatrian and
he looked it over and told me that it was perfect. The fact that the bottom portion didnt contract was
exactly what I needed.

It is so nice to be carrying my son again in a well constructed and very safe mei tai.  You have given
me the gift of being able to wear my baby again and still get stuff done. I also wanted to let you know
that I placed him in the carrier he snuggled down and went right to sleep as I got my house work finished.

Vonnie,  God Bless you and the wonderful gift you have given to me.

Please beware of carriers that are either smaller at the bottom down by
the waist or one that are designed to have the ability of being made
smaller as they do not give your baby support on their hip area and can
cause harm to the baby's hip and spinal development.  Having your baby or toddlers legs dangling pulls on the hips and joints.

Here is a few articles about this very thing:
