All carrier are sewn with loving care.
Body style is a high arched body that will fold when not needed. Each carrier measures 20 inches high and 15 inches wide.
Unlike most carriers, the body of my carrier is padded with batting. I use good cotton for the panels of my carriers (this is the portion that you see that is printed) but the reverside side and the straps are made of cotton blend. The inner is made of a Panel of either canvas or denim. So on my carriers each body is made up of 4 pieces of fabric, and a piece of batting.
Shoulder straps are 6" wide and pleated for comfort on your shoulders and approx. 60" long. This helps with distributing the your baby's weight over your shoulders not on your lower back. The pleat is wide and approx 3-4" wide at the connection where most carriers have straps that are only 4" wide my are 6" and still has the same amount of straps connected to the carrier.
The waist straps are 3" wide and approx 30" each. Making the total waist area to be 75".
The straps are X Boxed to inner canvas piece. for security, This box can not be seen from the outside of the carrier as to mar the beauty of your carrier but you will be about as a wearer to feel its existance. by running your hand over it.
I sew the whole body of the carrier three times around and do reforced stitching along with the X box where all 4 straps attach to the body of the carrier.
Then when I turn the carrier right side out, I sew it twice around making sure that each time I sew across the straps to seal it and hold the batting and inner body pieces in place and keep it from slipping while sealing it all together.
I have found that this works very well and have never had a straps come unsewn or a strap come off.
I do still advise that you always check your stitching in case a thread has been snagged and starts to come out. But with all the reinforced sewing I have done to it. the straps will not come off.
